Manitoba Issues 47 Invitations in Latest Skilled Worker Draw

Manitoba’s recent Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) draw, held on November 6, 2025, marks a significant development for skilled workers aiming to contribute to the province’s economy. The province issued 47 Letters of Advice to Apply, targeting both domestic and international skilled workers. Of particular note, 10 candidates with valid Express Entry profiles and job seeker validation codes were included, underscoring Manitoba’s strategy to align with federal pathways and enhance its talent pool.

This draw, identified as Expression of Interest (EOI) Draw #257, focused exclusively on candidates directly invited through strategic recruitment efforts and those supported by Temporary Public Policy, which facilitates work permits for potential nominees. The selection process prioritized individuals with established links to Manitoba’s employers and communities, addressing specific labor market needs.

The invitations were distributed among several targeted groups: Employer Services (11), Francophone Community (18), Regional Communities (12), Ethnocultural Communities (4), and Temporary Public Policy (2). The emphasis on bilingual and region-focused applicants highlights Manitoba’s commitment to fostering long-term demographic stability and enhancing linguistic diversity within its workforce.

Manitoba’s strategic selection approach is evident in its decision to narrow the candidate pool, focusing on those with robust connections to the province. This strategy not only ensures a swift integration into the labor market but also minimizes settlement barriers. The province’s targeted recruitment efforts underscore the importance of maintaining up-to-date EOIs and securing strong ties to the community for prospective applicants.

Additionally, candidates working in regulated occupations were reminded of the necessity to provide valid licensing documents, emphasizing the need for compliance to prevent application refusals.

In 2025, Manitoba has issued 7,062 invitations, with 1,277 linked to the federal Express Entry system, reflecting its strategic alignment with national immigration pathways. This approach not only addresses local labor shortages but also aligns with broader national immigration goals.

For skilled workers eyeing opportunities in Manitoba, staying informed and prepared is crucial. Updating EOIs, maintaining valid test numbers, and strengthening connections to Manitoba remain vital steps in enhancing selection chances in future draws. As Manitoba continues to refine its immigration strategy, staying proactive and engaged will be key to successful integration into the province’s workforce.
