Latest Express Entry Draw Invites PNP Candidates

Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) recently issued 345 Invitations to Apply (ITAs) through the Express Entry system, specifically targeting candidates under the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). This particular draw required candidates to have a minimum Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score of 778 and a profile created before July 17, 2025.

As of this draw, IRCC has conducted 19 PNP draws in 2025, highlighting a shift towards provincial immigration in response to changes in immigrant allocations. This adjustment follows a significant reduction in provincial immigration quotas in 2024, necessitating a focus on candidates through the PNP.

Overall, 70,683 ITAs have been issued through the Express Entry system this year, with a notable emphasis on PNP draws. Besides PNPs, the remaining ITAs have been allocated to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), candidates with French language proficiency, and individuals in priority occupation categories such as healthcare and social services, education, and trade.

French language proficiency draws have been particularly prominent, reflecting Canada’s strategic interest in strengthening bilingual capabilities. French language draws have resulted in 30,000 ITAs, whereas the CEC has accounted for 21,850 ITAs, underscoring the importance of these categories in Canada’s immigration strategy.

This year’s Express Entry trends illustrate Canada’s evolving immigration landscape, with strategic emphasis on language skills, experience, and regional needs. The focus on the PNP and French language proficiency suggests a tailored approach to meet both national and provincial requirements effectively. As Canada continues to fine-tune its immigration priorities, stakeholders and prospective immigrants should remain attuned to these policy shifts, which could significantly influence future immigration pathways.
