Additionally, the foreign worker must have a minimum of 16 months left on their work permit when their spouse applies for the OWP.
  2. Exclusions:
    • Notably, dependent children of foreign workers will no longer qualify for family OWPs. However, those who currently hold OWPs under the previous guidelines will retain their status until expiration, and renewals will be permitted based on the same eligibility criteria.
