A brief explanation—such as "processing backlog" or "policy review"—could help manage expectations and reduce anxiety. Interestingly, the International Experience Canada (IEC) program already follows this practice. Extending this transparency to Express Entry would foster trust and allow applicants to plan their lives more effectively.

3. A Grace Period for Minor Errors:
   Currently, minor mistakes or missing documents can lead to applications being deemed incomplete, forcing applicants to restart the process. This is especially detrimental to young workers, non-native English speakers, and international graduates. Allowing a short window to correct minor errors could save time, reduce legal disputes, and create a more equitable system.
