What Is Included in Each Service Level?

This service provides your immigration processing records from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada. You receive officer notes and assessments, processing history, document checklists, and decision rationale. It is the most popular option and covers the broadest range of application information.

This service provides your security screening records from the Canada Border Services Agency. You receive security screening status, travel history verification, and admissibility assessments. This option is particularly useful if you suspect background checks are delaying your application.

This service provides a copy of your IRCC-held application file without officer notes. You receive a summary report, all submitted forms, supporting documents and attachments, internal processing records, and all correspondence with IRCC. This is the right option if you need to review or verify the documents you submitted, particularly if you are preparing a new application and want to ensure consistency with a previous submission.

GCMS Notes from IRCC and CBSA (Bundle)

This bundle combines records from both government departments at a discounted rate compared to ordering each separately. You get everything included in both IRCC and CBSA notes. As a result, this is the best value if you want the most complete picture of your immigration file.

GCMS Notes and Entire Case File

This is the most comprehensive option. In addition to GCMS notes, you receive all forms submitted with your application, the supporting documents you provided, and correspondence between you and IRCC. We recommend this option if you need a complete record for legal purposes or RCIC consultation.

Are GCMS Notes Free?

No, GCMS notes are not free. Accessing your immigration records requires submitting a formal request under the Access to Information Act or Privacy Act. While you can submit this request yourself through the Government of Canada’s ATIP portal (which may involve a small government fee), using a service like GCMS Notes Request saves you significant time and effort.
